Scientific research shows that too much nitrogen entering the water will cause eutrophication of the water body and affect the water quality of the water body to a certain extent. China’s rural environmental governance requirements are increasing every year, because my country’s sewage treatment discharge A-level standard discharge has strict restrictions on N content, and rural sewage samples also have certain requirements for nitrogen. Today, Liding Environmental Protection will briefly introduce the enhanced denitrification technology for you.
Enhanced denitrification technology refers to improving the degradation ability of nitrogen-containing compounds, increasing the degradation rate and improving the quality of effluent by treating the microbial structure, adding physical and chemical means and improving the process during the pollution treatment process. Biological denitrification in sewage treatment has attracted people’s attention, but how to effectively carry out denitrification treatment is still a difficult problem in sewage treatment.
Bio-enhanced denitrification technology is widely used in rural sewage treatment. By adding specific bacteria, nutrients or substrate analogs to biological treatment, the biomass in the treatment can be increased, the degradation ability of the body to specific pollutants can be developed, and the degradation rate can be improved, so can achieve the goal of sewage treatment. The technology has the characteristics of low cost, high performance and low pollution. In addition to the traditional flora, the microorganisms that have clearly participated in the nitrogen cycle in nature also include anammox bacteria, aerobic denitrifiers, and denitrifying phosphorus-removing bacteria and other important nitrogen-metabolizing microorganisms.
In order to ensure that the release of nitrogenous compounds in the sewage system reaches the standard, measures such as increasing the aeration rate of the structure, increasing the hydraulic retention time, increasing the sludge reflux ratio, reducing the sludge load, adjusting the reaction temperature, or increasing the thickness of the filler can be used in the project. However, this process will increase the construction and operation costs of sewage treatment facilities, resulting in greater economic impact. Although physicochemical method enhanced denitrification technology was developed earlier, there are problems such as high cost, easy to produce disinfection by-products, and secondary pollution. Common new enhanced denitrification processes include short-range nitrification-denitrification process, heterooxygenation-aerobic denitrification process, aerobic granular sludge, short-range nitrification-anammox process, etc.
