Household Sewage Treatment Equipment Project Case in Rural Areas of Cold Regions
Project Background
Zhangjiakou, a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Hebei Province, is also known as "Zhangyuan" and "Wucheng." Historically, it has been a region where Han and ethnic minorities have coexisted. Since the Spring and Autumn Period, the city has witnessed a fusion of grassland culture, agricultural culture, Great Wall culture, commercial and travel culture, and revolutionary culture. Corresponding to its rich cultural heritage is the need for a high-quality living environment. The collection and treatment of rural domestic sewage are vital to public well-being. The local government attaches great importance to addressing environmental pollution and has been actively promoting environmental improvement projects.

The implementing unit of the project is Jiangsu Liding Environmental Protection Equipment Co., Ltd. The project utilizes independently developed Household Sewage Treatment Plant Liding Scavenger® , featuring the proprietary MHAT + Contact Oxidation Process. The treated effluent consistently meets the discharge standards set by Hebei's Rural Domestic Sewage Treatment Discharge Standards. This effectively addresses water pollution issues in the surrounding environment and contributes to the improvement of the local ecosystem.
Technical Process
The Liding Scavenger® adopts the MHAT + Contact Oxidation Process, which includes an MHAT multifunctional zone, a contact oxidation zone, a counterflow sedimentation zone, and a filtration and disinfection zone. It offers flexible installation options, including above-ground, indoor, or outdoor setups. Once the equipment is fixed in place, it only requires water and power connections to start operation, with a single unit taking approximately 1 hour to install.
The rear of the equipment features a detachable smart control box, allowing for modular or wall-mounted installation to accommodate different site requirements. Additionally, solar panels can be installed flexibly according to the specific needs of the location, with options for integrated or separate installations. This enables optimal placement in sunlit areas, ensuring installation is not restricted by site conditions.
Treatment Situation
Located in the northwestern part of Hebei Province, Zhangjiakou lies in an arid to semi-arid region. Due to variations in terrain and the influence of the monsoon climate, rainfall distribution in Zhangjiakou is highly uneven, decreasing progressively from southeast to northwest. As a result of these geographical and climatic factors, the water ecological environment in Zhangjiakou is extremely fragile. Nearly all of the major lakes and reservoirs in the Bashang Plain area have dried up, presenting significant challenges for water environment management.
Following the implementation of this project, rural domestic sewage in the surrounding areas has been effectively managed, significantly alleviating pollution pressure. The project has had a positive impact on the water quality of nearby rivers, improving the living and working environment for local villagers and contributing to the development of rural areas.
